Calling all cake bakers

The Tea Tent needs CAKES – lots of CAKES
We would be very happy to receive any donations of cakes and biscuits which can be brought to the Tea Tent, by the pond, at any time over the Bank Holiday weekend.
If you are thinking of baking for the Tea Tent for the first time and would like some ideas, you may like to know that our best sellers have been chocolate, carrot, coffee and victoria sponge cakes, but do contribute your favourite recipe. Brownies, flapjacks, fruit cake, lemon drizzle – our visitors are always very impressed with the variety.
If you are super efficient, you might like to bake early and freeze your cake.
IMPORTANT:
The Tea Tent team would be grateful if bakers could please consider the following:
- All items baked with food intolerances in mind will require an Ingredients Form filled out. This can be downloaded from below.
- Please
do not pre cut your cake,
tray bake, brownies, flapjacks etc. We need to make sure the size we cut the cake matches our set prices.
- If you are decorating the top of your cake – please remember that we need to cut it and some toppings (although look amazing) make this tricky.
- Please make sure
all trays or tins are clearly labelled
with a name and telephone number.
The Scarecrow Committee are extremely grateful to all our past seasoned bakers and hope you will feel able to support us again this year.
If you are a first time baker this year and have any queries, please contact Claire Charlesworth using the form below.
