Calling all cake bakers

The Tea Tent needs CAKES – lots of CAKES
Got a sweet tooth and a generous heart? Please bring your delicious baked goods to the Tea Tent by the pond on the Festival Bank Holiday weekend (4-6 May). We'll be there with open arms (and our customers with hungry tummies)!
If you're considering baking for the Tea Tent for the first time and seeking inspiration, it's worth noting that our top-selling items include chocolate, carrot, coffee, and Victoria sponge cakes. However, feel free to bake your signature cake as well. Visitors have consistently raved about our brownies, flapjacks, fruit cake, and lemon drizzle too, and are amazed by the diverse selection.
If you are super efficient, you might like to bake early and freeze your cake.
IMPORTANT:
The Tea Tent team would be grateful if bakers could please consider the following:
- All items baked with food intolerances in mind will require an Ingredients Form filled out. This can be downloaded from below.
- Please
do not pre cut your cake,
tray bake, brownies, flapjacks etc. We need to make sure the size we cut the cake matches our set prices.
- If you are decorating the top of your cake – please remember that we need to cut it and some toppings (although look amazing) make this tricky.
- Please make sure
all trays or tins are clearly labelled
with a name and telephone number.
The Scarecrow Committee expresses immense gratitude to all our experienced bakers from previous years and hopes you will support us once more this year.
If you are a first time baker this year and have any queries, please contact Claire using the form below.
